Commercial disclosure

Affiliate Disclosure

Some outbound links on iilib may become affiliate or referral links. If a user signs up or pays through an eligible link, iilib may receive cash, account credit, or another disclosed benefit at no additional cost to the user.

Editorial decisions come first

Affiliate availability does not determine whether an API, tool, model provider, agent, company, or comparison is included. It also does not determine default ranking, category membership, featured status, comparison conclusions, or factual claims.

Commercial data is stored separately

Product facts and graph relationships live in the research dataset. Affiliate/referral terms live in a separate commercial dataset with their own source references and verification dates.

Monetized links must be labeled

A monetized outbound link must be visibly identified as an affiliate or referral link near the link or call to action. Normal official documentation links remain separate.

Terms can change

Commission rates, attribution windows, eligibility, payout methods, and referral credits can change or disappear. Commercial records therefore carry a verified date and should be rechecked against first-party program terms.

Research standard

When an API platform pays a referral commission, iilib should still describe material tradeoffs such as provider type, pricing structure, model provenance, compatibility, credit rules, operator identity, terms, and limitations. A higher commission is never evidence that a service is better.
