Overview
Released in public preview on October 6, 2026, with updated open weights published October 29. The model supports text and image input, text output, reasoning-effort controls, function calling and structured outputs. Mistral API model ID: mistral-large-4. Open weights use the Mistral Ecosystem Open-Weight License; operating a Model-as-a-Service business requires a separate commercial license.
